CB’s Rookies is a service organization at Penn State University. Our mission is to take advantage of both the incredible service opportunity and athletic excellence Penn State provides through reaching out to the special education department at a local school district. The sole intention of this organization is to give the children participating in this program the opportunity to be a part of our community here at Penn State through utilizing our athletic programs.

CB's Rookies is a student-run service organization at Penn State University. Our mission is to connect students with disabilities to our community at Penn State. Our members visit local schools once a month and work with special education classes by creating fun and engaging activities for the students that foster academic and personal growth. Following these visits, the students and their families are invited to join us on our campus for a sporting event once each season. By doing so, we hope to allow all participating members the opportunity to become a greater part of our community.
WHAT WE DO
Join in the fun!
We visit the middle school students at their school and assist them in crafts, games, and other activities. Following this visit, the children are offered tickets and invited to attend an athletic event with a guardian or chaperone where they will be greeted by CB’s Rookies members as well as the athletes.
